Interior Designer

The Interior Designer will play an active role in the operation of DecorMatters’s in-app creative community. The designer will create design challenges, DIY tips, professionally generated content, and events that are relevant to our user base to promote user engagement in our community. The designer will respond to users’ questions and concerns, and help users with their home design process. The designer will regularly analyze and report on the activity in the DecorMatters app, and learn how to reach the community/public media and promote events or programs through the internet.

Responsibilities:

  • Create in-app design challenges, DIY tips, PGC and events to promote user engagement in our community

  • Responds to users' posts or comments to bring value to user’s interactions

  • Assist app users with their home decorating and furniture selections

  • Research and find content that is relevant to our user base and will invite 
conversation and engagement

  • Use analytical tools to assess the performance and trends of the content in-app and adjust strategies to optimize user engagement 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in interior design or related field

  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration

  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with photo-editing, graphic design and video-editing software. Experience with Photoshop, Sketch, or Illustrator a plus

  • Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Available to work onsite full time
